Michael joined IXDS as an interaction designer in 2014, and is responsible for designing user interfaces and seamless concepts. In his latest projects he is working with in-house developers of embedded system.
Prior to this, he studied Interaction Design at the University of Applied Sciences – Hochschule für Gestaltung – in Schwäbisch Gmünd. He says the most inspiring thing about this subject was the connection between design and development. He started to work with small prototypes, in order to test and evaluate ideas and concepts. This ability helped him to rethink and improve his work more quickly.
He joined IXDS straight after graduation, and views the opportunity as a way to use his gained skills to develop aroused interests. One of his aims is to optimize or even change the workflow between designers and developers to fasten the process.
His fifth day is used to enhance individual interests and improve his skills in building different soft and hardware prototypes. These are not only for private use but can also be used as funny gadgets for the office; for example, a voice controlled advent wreath.
