Florian is a Design Lead within the Seamless Mobility Hub at IXDS. He helps clients to think about different forms of mobility in new ways.
Before joining IXDS in 2016, Florian was the Head of the Academic Program for Entrepreneurship at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. During this time, he mentored many different startups and taught design thinking, lean startup methods, as well as entrepreneurship. Moreover, he led more than 25 industry consulting projects for clients such as ADAC, Allianz, FriendScout24, Lear Corporation, MAN, Steelcase, and TÜV SÜD.
Florian believes in the transformative power of design. And at IXDS he aims to bring some of the agility, user-centeredness, and prototyping culture he experienced in the startup world to all his client projects.
Florian studied business management with a focus on service management, international business, and entrepreneurship in Deggendorf, Munich, Osaka, and Edinburgh. For his PhD, he conducted quantitative research on multidisciplinary design innovation teams. He remains involved in academic research with interests in design thinking, and entrepreneurship, as well as innovation management, and is a frequent guest lecturer at several universities.
In his spare time, Florian enjoys travelling, barbequing, messing about with everything new in tech, as well as learning something new every day.
